The best best wonton soup! I love the broth. I have enjoyed the food from Golden Pearl for many years!

My three boys love their fried rice. Generous portions. Completely cleaned the plates. The price is quite decent. Recommended !

My go to for western style Chinese food. Fresh food as has high turnover. Great prices. I usually order the Wor Wonton, sweet and sour pot, green beans, egg fried rice, ginger beef, beef and broccoli, almond chicken

Good service and food.

If you like the typical Asian food you'll be not disappointed. The portions are huge and tasty. You can have beer, wine or even some hard liqueurs if you need some. The stuff members are friendly and helpful. The place is clean and always busy. I gave 4 starts only because our order lost in translation :) Otherwise this an excellent restaurant. I hope after my next visit I can update my review for 5 stars.

Tried this spot in the past with my friend and I am obsessed ever since. I enjoyed the excellent character and tasty food and drinks. Great work.

The chow mein is like instant noodles that were forgotten and boiled for way to long. The sweet and sour pork was overly battered n just tasted cheap. I order chow mein diced chicken with cashews and there were zero cashews. I rather go to a mall and get caf Chinese food. If you know Chinese food please do not go here. U will be very disappointed. I've never seen such sad grey chow mein in my life. If you still go I wish you good luck. God bless.

Tried for First and last time today. I ordered lemon chicken to go. Chicken was so greasy that when you bit into it grease would squish out. Steamed rice was so overcooked it was mush. The lemon sauce was coagulated trash Even the fortune cookie was awful. Just an unwrapped cookie tossed in my bag. No napkin, no soy sauce no repeat customer. How anyone actually eats in there is beyond me I would feel so claustrophobic

Just ordered from this place tonight. Probably the worst chinese food i've ever had. Noodles and rice had no flavor whatsoever and had a slimy texture. The chicken balls were under cooked and the quality of chicken was disgusting. The beef in the beef and broccoli tasted like leather. Will never order from here again. You shouldn't either...

Love this place. My favorite Chinese restaurant. With the exception of spring rolls(I find them too greasy for my liking) nothing else has disappointed me and most importantly in great prices for the quantity. Servers, even the days that you can see it in their face that are exhausted, are always polite.

The food is terrible,had the spring rolls,and house special chow meine,texture and taste was bland to say the least,had it not been a takeout I would have sent both items back

We have enjoyed the food from Golden Pearl for many years. Beef and Broccoli, Sesame Chicken, House Fried Rice are some of our favorite items.

Not my favorite place by a long shot. The food is ok, and the staff is attentive, but there feels like there are more tables than the space can really handle, and one table was being used for kitchen prep work and the wait staff would be cutting vegetables there when they had some time, and when they were busy the food was just left there waiting for their return. Ugh.

This has been a major go to restaurant for me for over 25 years, absolutely love them!

Golden Pearl is my family's fav Chinese restaurant to go to on the north shore. They have the best wonton and spring rolls. Friendly service and fast too. The house chow mein and garlic dry ribs are delicious

Best Chinese food on the North Shore, restaurant is old and a bit dingy on the inside, but the food has not changed in quality it flavour since my childhood. I love it! Best wonton soup and house special chowmein. Generous portions and food comes fast.

Gave delivery guy a 5 dollar tip as it was first time ordering, it was about 10% and he didn't seem very friendly or thankful. If food was really good I would have ordered again, and perhaps tipped more, but unfortunately I will not be ordering from here again. Everything was very underwhelming.

Wow! Ordered delivery. S & S Prawns, Singapore Fried Noodles & Chicken Fried Rice. Told 45 minutes ( all good ) and they showed up 25 minutes later with fresh, tasty, hot food. Wonderful service!

Food is bland and aweful. Worst Chinese food i have ever had. Didnt even take home the balance wouldnt serve it to my dog . Egg rolls were warm and greasy. Breaded prawns you could wring out the grease. Chow main was hard and stuck together. No spices or salt or pepper on anything was gross except for the rice and fortune cookie

unprofessional servers, they call my husband handsome and ask very personal questions and ask if he's single. Totally not appropriate it's your job to serve us not to ask such things. Next time no tips for them.

My favorite Chinese restaurant in north Van

Love love this place. 20+ yrs been going here. I now live in the states. And always make time to dine here

We were craving Chinese food so we popped in here. I'm allergic to nuts so I told this to the server when we placed our order. She then came back out from the kitchen and said that the Chef did not know the last time she washed the pan so she couldn't guarantee that there would not be contamination! Having a nut allergy can be a challenge and I do understand that cross contamination can happen but that is a risk I have to take or else I would starve. But are you actually being serious right now and you don't know when the pan was last washed? We left the restaurant immediately. It looked like they probably couldn't remember the last time they used a vacuum either.

Simple place reasonable price good food

While the food was good and the service was fantastic, I was pretty unimpressed with the hygiene.It was a very slow night at the restaurant, and the bathroom was disgusting. It smelled like a campground portapotty. Very dirty.Also, as I was walking back to my table there was a large plate of raw meat sitting out on a table in the open. If food prep absolutely must be done in the dining area, at least get it done quickly instead of walking away from it.So while I enjoyed the food while I was eating it and loved the service/portions, I left the restaurant feeling a little grossed out.Makes me worried about the quality/hygiene of the food being served and what happens back in the kitchen.Picture attached is the “raw meat plate”.

Food ok. Some too greasy. Washroom was absolutely disgusting. No toilet paper, no paper towel. Dirty and only went in to get tissue to blow my nose. Left right after dinner.

Must have been renovated recently. Nice and clean and bright. Food, and service was as awesome as always.

I am not an expert on Chinese food. I have only tried a few places. This is the best I have had so far with reasonable prices and prompt service. I order here anytime I want Chinese.

Good place , big orders, great efficient service. Pretty basic decor like 30 years ago style. But great value for your money.Ended up by coincidence since the line up at the white spot was over 30 min - again.Next time I guess I check out first a place like this before waking in a franchise restaurant

Great fast service! The lemon chicken and the sweet and sour pork were excellent. The won ton soup was very good; wontons were huge.

We LOVE the Golden Pearl!! Some weeks we may eat there twice!! Prices are great!! Spicy Green Bean is amazing!! Spicy Squid with red salt is so very good. Sweet and Sour Pork is one of our faves and probably the best in the North Shore. Portions are awesome!! Ladies that work there are the best!! We love love love this place!! Lunch specials are also very very good!!

Excellent food and service

TERRIBLE SERVICE !!!!!Food was okay but she literally came to the table 2 times and it wasn’t even busy so we decided to not tip and she was absolutely rude and then started laughing with her co workers!!!! restaurants shouldn’t expect tips it’s a nice gesture when you receive great service and that wasn’t the case I won’t be returning to this establishment!!

Best place ever

The chicken was really low quality, the worst most cartilage part of the lowest quality bird. The staff was unfriendly but not terrible. Another local guide said their chicken tastes like socks and he is not wrong. The noodles and the sauce were not too bad though.
